Home of Spartan Baseball
Lattanzi Field at Ward Park is the home of Campbell Spartan baseball and has hosted generations of players from Smyrna. Among the most accomplished recent Spartans to play at Lattanzi Field is Michael Braswell, a standout shortstop and pitcher who hit .447 as a Campbell senior while posting a 1.00 ERA with 41 strikeouts. A Perfect Game All-American and one of Georgia's top prospects, Braswell went on to earn SEC All-Freshman honors at South Carolina before transferring to LSU, where he became part of the Tigers' 2025 national championship team. Campbell's baseball history also includes numerous players selected in the professional draft, continuing a long tradition of high-level baseball in Smyrna.
