McDaniel Stadium serves as the home of Campbell Spartan football and stands as one of the central gathering places for Campbell athletics in Smyrna. Generations of Campbell players have competed in the football program, including future professional defensive backs Chris Lewis-Harris and Tay Glover-Wright. Lewis-Harris went on to play in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, while Glover-Wright also reached the professional ranks. More recent Spartans have continued Campbell's tradition of advancing to the college level, making McDaniel Stadium an important part of the school's long athletic history
