Prattville Athletics has launched a new digital experience designed to give Lion fans, athletes, coaches and families one connected home for everything surrounding Prattville sports.
The new platform brings together Prattville’s athletics website, mobile app, schedules, scores, rosters, stories, livestream access, recruiting information and other essential resources through the AthleticOS ecosystem. For Prattville, the launch represents more than a redesigned website. It is a move away from the fragmented digital experience that has become common in high school athletics, where fans may have to search several different websites, social media accounts and services just to find basic information about their teams.
AthleticOS is designed to bring those pieces together.
The new Prattville athletics website serves as the public hub of that experience. Fans can quickly move between individual sports, view team schedules and rosters, follow scores and results, read the latest stories and find important information without leaving the school’s athletics platform. That same information extends into the Prattville Lions mobile app, giving fans another direct connection to the athletic department. Rather than requiring supporters to constantly check social media for updates, the app allows Prattville Athletics to communicate directly with its audience through push notifications. Final scores, breaking news, schedule information, stories and other important updates can reach Lion fans directly on their phones.
The result is a digital experience built around how people actually follow high school sports.
On game day, a fan may begin by checking an upcoming matchup, receive an update from the athletic department, follow available game coverage and return later for the final score and recap. Instead of those interactions taking place across several unrelated platforms, AthleticOS is designed to keep them connected. That philosophy extends beyond the fan experience.
AthleticOS also gives Prattville a platform to better showcase its student-athletes and athletic programs. Team pages can become permanent destinations for rosters, schedules, coaches, stories and program information rather than temporary pages that disappear beneath a constant stream of social media posts.
Recruiting is another important piece of the system.
Through RecruitOS, Prattville can provide college coaches with a more organized way to discover Lion student-athletes while giving athletes and families tools to present recruiting information, film, measurables and other relevant information in a professional environment. That creates an important distinction between simply publishing athletic information and building an athletics platform.
A schedule should not exist in isolation from the team it belongs to. A final score should be able to connect to a recap. A preview should connect directly to the game being previewed. A roster should connect fans to individual athletes, and recruiting information should build on the same athlete and team data already maintained by the athletic department. Those connections are at the center of the AthleticOS approach.
For athletic departments, the goal is also to simplify the work happening behind the scenes. High school athletics produces an enormous amount of information throughout a school year. Scores change nightly. Schedules move. Rosters are updated. Stories are published. Games are streamed. Athletes need exposure. Fans need information. When each of those responsibilities lives in a different system, maintaining an accurate digital presence becomes another major job for coaches and administrators. A connected platform creates the opportunity to manage that information once and use it throughout the athletics experience. Prattville is now putting that model into practice.
The Lions have a digital home designed not merely to advertise Prattville Athletics, but to operate alongside it throughout the school year—from the first schedule release to game night, postseason competition, recruiting and everything in between. For one of Alabama’s most recognizable high school athletic programs, the launch provides a modern platform built to match the scale and expectations of Prattville Athletics. And for AthleticOS, Prattville offers another example of what high school athletics can look like when the website, app, content, game information and recruiting experience stop operating as separate pieces and begin working as one system.
